Hello Everyone! My name is Karen Garner, and I enjoy teaching at Skyway! I hope to instill in my students a sense of pride and accomplishment in their achievements and a desire for lifelong learning. I believe that learning is an adventure that is exciting and fun, and I enjoy using STEAM to foster student creativity and expression.
I have 30 years of experience teaching primary age students. I grew up and taught in several areas of Texas and have lived and taught in Idaho since 2007. I received my Bachelor's and Master's degree in education from Baylor University and completed my building administrator degree at NNU in 2019. My husband, Curtis, is a professor at Gonzaga, and I have 3 children who are working as engineers/computer scientists at Micron in Boise. I enjoy being creative, gardening and hiking.
